E-Commerce Section: Come, There Will Only Be Practices
On June 6, the St. Petersburg Internet Conference, SPIC-2008 will be held in Olgino. As a leading section on e-commerce, I invited people who know about online stores not from other people's stories to speak. That is, there will be no cathedral marketing specialists and abstract usabilityists.
They will tell about their practical experience in managing online stores, as well as answer your questions: Viktor Travin, Anna Matveeva (director of the St. Petersburg branch of Ozone), Tatyana Tsvetkova (head of marketing department of Softkeya).
The format of the section will most likely be mixed: reports + round table. First, the speakers will speak and tell the most interesting, and the listeners will prepare their questions. After the speeches, students will be able to ask questions, and different speakers will answer them, in turn. I hope that there will be many questions and the discussion will be interesting. In fact, there are many topics for discussion: promotion, work of the sites themselves, order processing, and logistics.
Surely this will not be a retelling of the Google and Yandex seminars on contextual advertising, not the chatter of Internet officials, cybersquatters in the law and domainers, not CMS self-promotion, payment systems, hosters, studios, etc.
All necessary information can be obtained on the conference website . Final titles of reports are being specified.
Come and torture the speakers with substantive questions. You have a unique chance to receive answers from practitioners with serious experience in Russia.
