I opened a chip about which at least I had no idea.
If in the NumLock mode you press the “digital” (“gray”) keyboard with Shift, it will work as if the NumLock mode was disabled.
upd. By the way, this should be convenient on the laptop, where the buttons Home, Del, etc. not duplicated by a numeric keypad.
