Our company is a service company, first of all we care about customers and their problems.
This, of course, has a wonderful effect on our partnerships with customers, constantly someone calls / writes / arrives from customers and the guys spend all their time on new orders from customers, minor improvements or just debugging.
At the same time, this situation prevents us from engaging in our own projects, which have accumulated decently.
The other day, the idea came to my mind how to fix this situation without investing in an increase in staff and without changing the orientation of the company.
The essence of the idea is to shift the weekend 2 times a month for one day, that is, rest not Saturday / Sunday, but Friday / Saturday. For employees, the number of days off remains the same, and Sunday 2 times a month becomes a full-time working day.
What does it give?
On Sunday, you can safely work on internal projects, pull your tails, generate ideas. In general, everything that cannot be done on weekdays filled with routine.
Sunday was specially chosen, since none of the clients will definitely call urgent requests on their “holy day off” :). And two weekend Fridays are not critical for customers, especially if they are warned about this in advance.
