"Movement against spammers" attacked Vovochka

    Sometimes a brief but soul-catching appeal is enough to organize the whole movement. This happened in one of the closed Runet communities; as a result, the Anti-Spammers Movement has successfully organized and is conducting its first rally.

    One of the "collaborators" of the closed community issued a call to arrange an "Order Day" by a persistent transport office sending out spam via ICQ. The call quickly found support, as It is in ICQ because of the imperfection of the protocol and the paradoxical mass distribution in Russia that spam worries many.

    Sympathy for the author of the call resulted in a sharp increase in the number of orders for all contacts of both the transport company and the office engaged in "address mailings." All information about the "opponents" was transferred to the hands of the "activists", who began to ask to transport the bank safe as quickly as possible (preferably at night), dynamite and some TNT, a box from the Mitinsky cemetery, an extremely shy elephant from India and many other quite ordinary loads . Contacts with clients via ICQ for the transport company have virtually disappeared: the number of orders from activists at the moment clearly exceeds all others. The same situation occurs with orders over the phone. Thus, we can talk about the unprecedented effectiveness of spam: the company received a huge increase in the number of orders.

    The dialogue between activists and the head of the spam office, Vladimir, turned out to be rather unconstructive. In response to logical hints that he was engaged in “bad business”, the head advised everyone to put anti-spam programs (“... since you cannot configure the spam filter, then you want to receive spam”). Also in an interview with one of the activists, he said that he had recently purchased a new Mazda 3 car, thereby standing out from the ranks of office plankton. In response to the address of the spam office, a lot of orders for the transportation of goods also fell; however, all potential customers began to demand transportation of goods exclusively to Mazda 3. The arguments that an elephant would not fit in this car did not convince potential customers.

    In the course of working with potential customers, Vladimir now has to rely only on the use of vulnerabilities in ICQ , as well as on reducing the activity of the Movement against spammers. Unfortunately for him, at the moment, activity is not declining, and the presence of Vladimir’s phone number does not portend bright prospects.

    Activists of the movement prepared a special video clip in which they talk about their love for Vladimir, the transport company, as well as all spammers. On the website of the movement, in a blog format, logs of communication with "opponents" are already posted.
