VOD is dead. Long live the VOD!

While some praise Apple's new venture , calling it the future on-demand video, the present future seems to be creating in Russia. On one notorious site, some comrades posted an invitation to test a new resource with a quite speaking name - Moovie .

It would seem that nothing special, if you do not dig deeper - the picture looks great on the monitor screen, the film can be watched from anywhere, there is a full preview. If you think about it, this is what the VOD service should look like for the YouTube generation - you choose, pay, start looking at work, continue at home. Or you start at home, you continue on a visit. Never mind. The only important thing is that the video comes straight from there - from the Internet.

    The Illusionist (preview)

Yes, this is not for everyone. It will not work to pause and wait for the download - it simply does not exist. But there is an opportunity with a more or less adequate broadband to receive the video "Here and Now." Apple will never tell you that you must first download the file and then watch it. And if you think about it - why do I need a file if I can watch a movie only within 24 hours? I’ll take it easier and take a look. And I will not regret that I did not save the file - in modern cinema, 90% of films at a time.

    Moovie Home

I don’t know what those guys will get out of their service, but it seems they set a new trend. A little magic, adding the ability to view video from any device and - voila! It is this trend that should become the basis of the video of the new century, and not something else.
