NEC and Alienware presented unusual monitors, which may appeal to gaming enthusiasts. Strange, but the new CRVD-42DWX + (as NEC dubbed its product) and the Alienware Curve display shown at CES 2008 look like two drops of water.
So, made using LED projectors and NEC CRVD-42DWX + and Alienware Curve have the same dimensions equal to two ordinary widescreen 19-inch monitors. The resolution of these "monsters" is 2880 × 900 pixels, the contrast is 10,000: 1, and the response time is 0.02 ms.
NEC has already stated that its monitor, although similar to the Alienware Curve, is made by a completely different manufacturer (which is not reported). It turns out that NEC was late with the announcement of the display for just a couple of days. Everyone has already admired Alienware shown at CES 2008.
When it is planned to launch new products on the market and what their price will be, it is not known. But the competition is already there.
