Reflash a mobile phone or always happens the first time

It all started with the fact that in the summer of last year, my favorite Nokia N70 stopped charging. In general. I replaced the adapter, changed the battery - it did not help. He made an “acrobatic” reset, reset to factory settings - zero emotions.

Surrendered and carried to the workshop, to the craftsmen. Craftsmen with an important appearance soldered the plug, but did not achieve anything. I was really quite sad, but there was still hope. I turned to one friend who ate a dog on mobile phones.

The good news - I managed to make an accurate diagnosis - the stabilizer on the system board, which is responsible for charging, flew.
Bad news - There are no such stabilizers now, we are waiting for a container with parts from China.

In short, while the essence and the matter, I realized that in the near future I will not see my N70, and I took an inexpensive smartphone Nokia 6120 Classic. In the workshop, the details did not wait, I took it and gave it to another, for greater fidelity. From there they returned him to me with the words "they repaired him so that nothing will help him now."

In short, mentally, I already said goodbye to the N70, and began to use the 6120 Classic in full. But at some point, having stumbled upon it once again in a drawer of the table, I decided to try it one more time and handed it over to the first office that was involved in the repair of cell phones.

A month passed, silence. I called them, knowing in advance what they would tell me, and suddenly, lo and behold, they tell me that the mobile is healthy and waiting for the owner! Incredulously checking everything, I took the long-suffering N70 out of repair and wondered what should I do with it now.

At the time of the breakdown, I had it for at least a year, and even half a year was lying around for repairs. And I decided to try out the new Nokia Software Updater program on it.

Naturally, the firmware of the mobile during the ordeal changed two numbers, from 3.x.x.x, to 5.x.x.x. The program obligingly offered to update the firmware, and after thinking for a few minutes I agreed.

I will not say that it was easy for me to agree to this step, since for me the flashing of the phone was always associated with mysterious programs, service cables, stuffed anywhere, a mysterious atmosphere ...

But the decision was made, and the program boldly started downloading the latest firmware version. There was about 20 MB to wait ...
