OpenMoko in QEMU
I have been closely following the OpenMoko project since the day of the first announcement. At a certain point, my interest and desire to test mobile Linux surpassed natural laziness :) Installing the emulator and the platform turned out to be surprisingly simple. I hasten to share my results with you!
The working platform is Debian sid or Ubuntu.
$ sudo aptitude install gcc-3.4 lynx netpbm libsdl1.2-dev dosfstools subversion
$ mkdir openmoko
$ cd openmoko
$ wget www.rwhitby.net/files/openmoko/Makefile
$ make qemu
Get ready to spend N megabyte traffic - OpenMoko image for qem and something else and
wait until the emulator starts.
Everyone loves screenshots and that’s why a couple of screenshots for seed are under the habrorez :)
