Google Reader makes friends with GTalk

    Freind's shared items

Google Reader not only allows you to centrally receive information from a variety of sources and remember your favorite entries, but it is just as easy to share what you’ve found with friends or the entire Internet. To do this, there is a typical ability to send e-mail using your Gmail account, as well as a more interesting and flexible mechanism for publishing marked messages. Moreover, the user can open access to individual records (just press the s key when viewing this record), and to all with a certain label. The published news can then be viewed on a special page, received by subscription or embedded as a widget on your website.

Thus, in order to view published posts by friends, it was required to do a lot of unnecessary actions manually. Now, in the Reader sidebar, the item “Friend's shared items” has appeared with open records of your friends on Gmail / GTalk. A page with a selection of contacts you want to see has also been added to the settings.
