Online Photoshop will appear this year

Adobe is planning to release a beta version of its online graphics editor, Photoshop Express, by the end of this year. The company indicated that work on the online version of Photoshop would be completed as early as 2008.

Photoshop Express is an online lightweight version of the desktop photo editor Adobe Photoshop, which will primarily act as an addition to various third-party online services. For example, in social photo hosting sites like Photobucket.

To summarize, the release of Adobe Photoshop Express is another step in moving all your applications online, and a way to compete with Microsoft and Google. Last month, Adobe Media Player was released, which is used by services such as CBS, PBS, Yahoo Video, Meredith Corporation, Blip.tv, Fora.tv, Motionbox, MyToons and StimTV. Yesterday, Adobe launched the online text editor Buzzword , which, however, is in beta testing.
