Sony Ericsson has contacted Windows Mobile

The Taiwanese information resource Commercial Times, known for its knowledge of everything that is happening in the IT world, has published interesting news. According to her, HTC, one of the leaders in the market of communicators and smartphones, recently received ODM orders for the production of smartphone models for Sony Ericsson. But not based on the UIQ platform, but based on Windows Mobile, to which the Swedish-Japanese brand had no relation before.

According to rumors, new models of smartphones on Windows Mobile will appear in the second half of next year, and the volume of first deliveries will exceed as much as a million units, which is a lot even for such a large manufacturer as HTC. If everything said by the gentlemen from the Commercial Times is true, then this will be the first High Tech Computer experience in executing an ODM order for such a renowned vendor.

Of course, this information instantly generated rumors that Sony Ericsson intends to abandon the Symbian UIQ and completely switch to Microsoft products. On the one hand, there is a degree of health in this, but on the other hand, do not forget that SE owns a decent share of Symbian shares, so this kind of betrayal is now completely useless to her.
