California bans implanting ID-chips to company employees

One of the California senators proposed to legally ban the use of ID-chips by employers . Such radio chips have already appeared on the market, for example, manufactured by VeriChip. They are positioned as a convenient and reliable replacement for standard plastic ID-cards. However, senators considered that this technology violates privacy.

According to politicians, people with implanted radio chips become vulnerable to cybercriminals who can use unauthorized scanners to read other people's private data, steal an identity theft, and carry out illegal surveillance and monitoring. The California Parliament upheld the ban, and now the new law has been sent for Schwarzenegger approval.

Interestingly, the current governor of California has repeatedly been a victim of such ID-chips, for example, in the movie "Remember Everything." Most likely, there will be no problems with the approval of this law.
