STMicroelectronics, a global leader in the manufacture of semiconductor components, and General Satellite, a leading Russian company in the field of digital television technologies, have created a working group to develop the latest technologies in the field of digital television.
The agreement reached will allow Russia to reach a new level in the development of digital television, because combining the experience and capabilities of the two leaders in this field this year will partially solve the problem of “forming a scientific and technological potential adequate to the modern challenges of world technological development” posed by V.V. Putin in his last Address to the Federal Assembly.
In all receivers of the domestic brand General Satellite Corp. multimedia processors and memory chips manufactured by STMicroelectronics will be installed. As a result, due to the lack of intermediaries, we will get high quality at a bargain price.
