The modern worldview system is based on the errors of the past
“The modern worldview system is based on the errors of the past” - this phrase can hide a lot of semantic interpretations, among which there may be diametrically opposite ones.
But what did I really mean when I put that phrase in the headline? I write about this below.
Of course, we are not adherents of the ancient astray. We are sure that the Earth does not stand on three pillars. The school teaches that it has the shape of a ball ... But the very question of what shape the Earth has is discursive and carries the experience of past metaphysical systems of the universe.
And the question is, what is primary being or consciousness follows from the question of the ancients and the doctrine of the primary substance. Some of the Greeks believed that the root cause of everything was fire, someone considered water to be the original, motivating everyone to come out of the water. Now this question itself seems ridiculous to us. Mankind did not answer the question about the original substance, just this question has ceased to be relevant. Now we are interested in answers to other questions, but will they not seem ridiculous after several generations.
The stages that the human worldview underwent in its development are similar to evolution. Just as a human embryo goes through the stages that nature went through over a billion years of evolution, so the worldview of one person goes from a state of wildness and waking sleep when a person does not identify himself as a person, through the classical philosophy of the ancient Hellenes to modern postmodernism, moreover, in my opinion, it is impossible to understand and accept the modern "idealogii" never missing through itself "ancient" philosophical errors, such as dialectic or hermeneutic ...
But imagine for a moment the other way, suppose if Achilles still caught up with the tortoise, and the paradoxes of Zeno would be permitted "ahead of time", would not have arisen, we have other issues and not those which we are burdened now?
The modern worldview system is based on the errors of the past. But this does not mean that the answers to fundamental questions contain fingerprints of these misconceptions. Just the very questions that we raise for ourselves are the essence of the error of the past. And most of these questions have no intelligible answer, since they are posed incorrectly.
