Australian teen teases YouTube administration

The Australian and New Zealand media, not without some pride, covered the “feat” of their young compatriot over the weekend. A 15-year-old resident of Western Australia, on his own initiative, demanded that the administration of the largest video service YouTube remove more than 200 videos from its pages, the copyright of which belongs to the state-owned television and radio company ABC . The clips were a cut from the series of the popular satirical series "The Chaser's War on Everything."

A fighter for justice, whose name is still kept secret from the general public, introduced himself as an ABC employee to carry out his mission. He put forward his demand through a form on the site, which serves as feedback for copyright holders. Interestingly, unlike cases of similar claims from large media companies, this time the reaction of YouTube was almost instant.

Later, when ABC contacted the boy, he apologized for any inconvenience. But the management of the company and the authors of the series reacted to him extremely condescendingly. There was even a proposal to hire a teenager to work as a specialist in copyright protection.

In the near future, Australian radio is going to interview the young man and ask him about the reasons for this act.
