Google likely to acquire Spot Runner
Rumor has it that Google is about to acquire Spot Runner , a company that automates the creation and purchase of television commercials.
According to Henry Blodget , a former Merrill Lynch analyst, if Google doesn’t make the deal, then Microsoft and Yahoo, who also need Spot Runner to enter a new market, will not be long in coming.
Blodget also noted that a new purchase, if, of course, takes place, would be a much more profitable acquisition than dMarc. The latter was engaged in the automatic placement of advertisements on the air, now the system is integrated into Google AdWords.
