Rambler Media announced a reshuffle in the company's top management. Mark Opumer is appointed CEO of Rambler Media. Arthur Hakobyan took over as CFO.
The appointment of Mark Opzumer as CEO is a natural step in the development of Rambler Media after an initial public offering (IPO) in July 2005, the company said.
Mark Ozumer, 49, an expert in the field of Internet, communications and media, has been a member of the Board of Directors of Rambler Media since 2005. Mr. Opzumer has 24 years of experience in management and investment. From July 2001 to December 2003, he was the Managing Director and Vice President of YAHOO! Europe, engaged in the development of the company, in particular, the service component. To work in the European branch of YAHOO! The previous CEO, Irina Hoffman, joined Rambler Media in 2004. Under her leadership, the company made an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange. Starting today, Irina Hoffman will join the Board of Directors of the company as an independent director, and upon completion of the transition period, Irina Hoffman will depart from Rambler Media operations management.
Arthur Hakobyan, 33, joined the Syntrra group of companies, the largest Russian telecommunications operator and Internet provider, where he served as financial director and vice president of corporate finance since August 2005. Arthur Hakobyan was responsible for all aspects of financial management, including the implementation of several significant acquisitions and acquisitions, business restructuring and the implementation of IFRS. Prior to joining Synterra, he served as CFO at PeterStar CJSC, a leading alternative telecommunications operator in St. Petersburg, from 2001 to 2005.
