Joint venture 1C-Bitrix

Press release of Bitrix-Soft and 1C companies regarding the creation of a 1C-Bitrix joint venture. Continuing the topic

Today we held a press conference with 1C, at which we announced the creation of a 1C – Bitrix joint venture.

Our companies join forces to create new Internet solutions and achieve their strategic goals in the web development market.

The 1C-Bitrix joint venture is created with equal equity participation of the parties (50/50). Significant resources for intensive development will be invested in the newly created company.

The 1C – Bitrix company is transferred exclusive rights in the territory of the countries of the former USSR to the Bitrix: Site Management software product and new Bitrix products, including a product for the .NET platform.

The software product is renamed to “1C-Bitrix: Site Management”. Scheduled for March 2007, the release of a new version 6.0 of the product will be produced under the new brand name. The development and technical support of 1C-Bitrix software products will be carried out by Bitrix.

The 1C company provides the joint venture with the right to use its trademark to promote products and build a single partner network.

From the moment the 1C-Bitrix joint venture began operating, sales from Bitrix are transferred to it and existing contracts with Bitrix partners are re-registered. 1C and Bitrix firms emphasize that the working conditions of existing Bitrix partners will not change in this regard.

1C and Bitrix will jointly engage in the active development of a common product, its promotion and the building of an affiliate network for its distribution, implementation and support.

Sergey Vladimirovich Ryzhikov, who is also the director of Bitrix LLC, is appointed the general director of 1C – Bitrix.

Sergey Ryzhikov, Director of Bitrix: “The market for business solutions is expanding rapidly, the demand for Internet solutions from the business is growing. And 1C company is today the flagship in the market of corporate solutions. We are pleased that Bitrix can complement the 1C line of solutions with a full range of opportunities for organizing and managing an Internet business. Creating a 1C-Bitrix joint venture is the right, logical step for organizing the development, support and distribution of new products and services. Special thanks to ValueTech Advisers, which provides financial advisory services on merger transactions, for timely assistance in the preparation of the transaction. ”

Boris Nuraliev, Director of 1C, comments: “The web development market is growing rapidly now. The situation is partially reminiscent of what happened on the market for accounting systems in the early 90s or on the adjacent market for integrated management automation several years ago. Demand for technologies and services for the creation and management of sites is becoming massive, which makes the creation and distribution of platform-wide platform solutions efficient. The Bitrix approach is to create a technological development environment and based on it modifiable solutions, which allows a large number of partners to organize an effective business to create sites and cover a significant share of potential market customers.

It is well consistent with the consistently built “1C” business model, based on a combination of an industrial approach to the development, distribution and maintenance of programs based on the energy, skills and interest of a massive partner network. Earlier this model allowed us to achieve excellent results in such areas as “1C: Enterprise” or “1C: Multimedia,” and the 1C-Bitrix joint venture makes it possible to apply this approach in the field of the Internet. ”

In general, what happened was to happen. Many predicted the full sale of Bitrix-Soft to 1C, but this did not happen. An equal pool of interests occurred under the new company. “1C” gives its name and resources “use”, and Bitrix-Soft applies its knowledge and experience for the development of a joint product. Undoubtedly, the “1C” prefix to “Bitrix” will increase the trust of the townsfolk, will have a very positive effect on the image of the product, and indeed will open for many such a class of products as CMS. By self-styled CMS and naive ideas to create your universal CMS, the penultimate nail is driven into the coffin lid.

Obviously, the mutual integration of products will be intensely developed. In the near future, for those who have implemented 1C in their company, creating or moving an existing site to Bitrix will be a more than logical decision. This is especially true of online stores.
