Azerbaijan closes "protest" site

The public campaign to collect signatures against price increases in Azerbaijan ended before it began. Providers of the republic blocked access to the site susmayaq.biz , which published a protest addressed to the head of state. This is stated in a statement by the author of the site, Bakhtiyar Hajiyev, reports REGNUM . Susmayaq.biz server is located in the Netherlands, and there are no problems visiting the site outside of Azerbaijan.

On January 8, gas prices in Azerbaijan rose by 50%, transportation costs began to increase by 35%, electricity charges increased 3 times, and water costs 4.
