Introductory word

Developed primarily for people, and only secondly for machines, microformats are a set of simple and open data description formats based on widely used and well-developed technologies (for example, XHTML and CSS).

    Basic principles:

    1. Solving specific problems.
    2. The simpler the better.
    3. Development primarily for people, and only the second - for cars.
    4. Rethinking the application of components of widely used technologies.
    5. Modularity and implementation.
    6. Promotion of decentralized development, content and services.

There are microformats for marking up resumes, calendar, tags, etc.

Currently, the introduction of a particular microformat in the code of a real web page does not cause difficulties since information marked up according to the rules of the selected microformat is essentially a regular XHTML code. Work with microformats is a powerful tool for almost anyone.
