Excelsior JET discontinues development of its AOT compiler after 18 years of work
Until recently, everything was very good:
- Standard x86 was available for free
- The developers gave interviews, from which it followed that the product does not stand still, develops: Severe Siberian JVM: a large interview about Excelsior JET
- At JPoint 2019, Nikita Lipsky ( pjBooms ) made a very interesting presentation: JPoint 2019: from dawn to dusk
And then one day, it seems, it was all over. Today I learned that the other day clients received a letter of happiness with the headline: "There will be no Excelsior JET 16".
pjBooms , is that really true? So, the only working AOT compiler after 18 years of success in the market just disappears?
