Design on CodeFest. But it is not exactly
Each year, we begin our discussion of the CodeFest program with the question, will there be a design section this year? It will, but it’s not accurate.
And every year we end with CodeFest with the words: “It's great that we did the design section - so many managers came to it!”
The fact is that we have long ceased to perceive design as something about pictures. Design is about solving problems and specific tasks, about how to help the user.
Designers have long ceased to argue which is cooler: Illustrator or Corel, Figma or Sketch. (It’s clear that IllustratorSketch.) Today, a designer needs to understand technologies and methodologies in order to find a worthy solution to a problem, meet budget, find a common language with a customer, and make a user happy.
