“ISIS Encrypted Messenger” turned out to be a poorly working program, assembled in a children's software designer

But in order for the actions of the group to be effective, communication is needed, communication between its individual members.

ISIS representatives were repeatedly suspected of using various well-known instant messengers for secret communication. So, recently it was announced that ISIS communicates on Telegram. And a little later, one company specializing in information security announced that the terrorists created their own secure universal messenger, and now they do not need third-party applications. But is it?

Yes, indeed, there is such an application. For the first time, representatives of the Ghost Security Group started talking about him. The name of the application is Alrawi. But communicating with this application is quite difficult. The fact is that the program is an application for exchanging files via Bluetooth. The maximum distance of the application is 10 meters.

At the same time, as experts found out , the program was created in the environment of a children's learning platform, with which children and teenagers are taught programming. It is called the MIT App Inventor platform.

Correspondence also seems to be possible, but the information is not encrypted and is not protected in any other way.

Earlier, the application was said to be developed by terrorists in order not to depend on third-party communication tools. Allegedly, the criminals feared that their correspondence in the Telegram environment would sooner or later become the property of the security forces who would receive the encryption keys of the messenger.

Pavel Durov, creator of Telegram, claims that the messenger administration has closed more than 660 public chat rooms related to ISIS, and every day 5-10 more channels are closed.
