Acrobat Robot: Weekend Activities

Family holidays involve family toys, and I will introduce you to one of them today. Acrobat Robot : The

toy belongs to the same brand with its headquarters in China, which adapts Western ideas for moderate money , which was seen in our (An hour before the new Sherlock I can’t say) “Investigation”!

They also produce, for example, 14 in 1 and similar designers.

The designer that I got on these holidays is 1 in 1, but with three different functions. Briefly and in order.

Inside the box is a fairly simple set of spare parts, where:

    • Case - 2 parts
    • Feet - 2
    • Rivets - 3
    • Legs Wired - 2
    • The thigh in which the motor is mounted - 1
    • Hands already joined - 1 pair
    • Head - 1
    • A strip of plastic called a “sensor,” necessary when moving

All this works assembled from 2 "finger" batteries and practically does not operate from the outside. The heart of the robot is an ordinary motor , which makes the gears rotate.

The assembly begins from the lower extremities, more specifically: from the right, and it must be pushed between the gears, secured with a specially protruding part.

After that, fix one of the rivets:

    The position matters:

With the left foot it is simpler, however, both rivets are needed here.

And again, it is important that the elements are connected in a certain sequence.

The legs, among other things, hide the batteries, and also there is a single specific on / on button that locks the battery.

Before assembling the body, which is mounted on both sides of two halves, you need to pass the "sensor" through a special hole in the limb.

And the Acrobat can be set. The only thing left is to throw your hands, “push” them a little until they click, fasten the body on both sides and put your head on.

So that he doesn’t look so “sinister”, he can be decorated with special, included stickers, adding personality. In the finale - insert the batteries, connect the wires, and you're done.

    Launch

    The robot has three modes:
    • walking
    • somersaults
    • dance

And I happened to observe the first of them. The most “basic” mode is walking, and I must say that it moves, despite some “swagger”, very steadily and reliably. You can control the direction by directing it physically with your hand or simply by turning.

    Ideally, something like:

He didn’t always get up with me, but it’s not difficult to help him, and in general, he is ready to “recover”. In the process of gears, in my opinion, there is nothing dangerous for adult hands. Perhaps I put it in difficult conditions of tiles. Here he is clearly slippery. It looks funny anyway:

All the “magic” is in the hands: they allow it to rise, creating a kind of fulcrum.

And here is the “Flip” mode.

For this mode, the “sensor” must be replaced with an elastic band, but it is not included in the kit. Included, by the way, and batteries.

Of the minuses that I would call, it seems to me noisy. Otherwise: a fun construction toy with a simple mechanism. The cost of the kit in Medgadgets is 900 rubles .

Happy New Year and have a great weekend!
