SpaceX posted hi-res Falcon 9 take-off and landing photos

As previously reported, SpaceX was able to successfully land the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket after completing the planned mission. The launch goal was also achieved - the rocket sent several satellites into space. The launch and landing video appeared on the Web almost immediately after landing the first stage of the rocket.

A little later, the company Ilona Mask posted high-resolution photographs, where you can see the rocket and stage in detail.

By the way, candidate of technical sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Cosmonautics named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky, Roskomos expert Andrei Ionin, believes that Musk is not developing his technology for the Earth.

“With this method of saving steps, Musk does not use the fact that there is a dense atmosphere around the Earth. The rocket lands on a jet stream, and before that they used either wings, like Shuttle or Buran, or parachutes. And Musk sets the stage, as if there is no atmosphere. From here I have a simple conclusion. Musk does not do this for landing on Earth. Because Mask has one project to which he decided to devote his life - this is a flight to Mars. But on Mars, this is the only way to land heavy ships, ”said Andrei Ionin.

Musk himself previously stated that when developing the technology for returning to the Earth the first stage of the launch vehicle, the cost of launching the rocket is reduced many times. Accordingly, the cost of sending goods into space is also reduced.
