Bug fixes: Apple Music for Android will get Material Design

New screenshots received from participants in the beta test of Apple Music for Android open the veil of secrecy over the first second attempt by Apple to place the application on Google Play.

Screenshots were provided by mobilegeeks.de. In addition to supporting Material Design, Apple decided to provide some new features for the Android version, which are currently not supported on iOS. For example, it became possible to change the size of the cache used to store music for listening offline.

As you can see at Apple, the criticism of the first “Move to iOS” application was taken seriously. The screenshots show the appearance of both the traditional Android 5.X side drawer instead of the tab system (as in iOS), and the canonical settings interface. However, many pages (for example, the "For me" section) follow the design of the iOS version, so the applications cannot be called "completely different."

This year, Apple promised to present a working version at WWDC this fall, it remains only to guess whether Apple will be able to finalize the application for the remaining month to suit Android users. Subscription to Apple Music (after the end of the trial free period) for 3 months was extended by about 6.5 million users, with the availability of the service only on iOS and Mac OS.
