Sex in virtual reality is on its way: toys are ready (18+)

Note: This post contains graphic images and descriptions of a sexual nature.

You are lying on the bed. Take a look around. Comes porn star. Sits down from above. And as soon as she does this, you feel her movements.

But you do not know any porn stars. You are a suspicious virgin. The closest thing you have, the most reminiscent of a girl, is the second-generation Oculus Rift virtual reality glasses. Or soon they will appear ;-)

Today, the pioneer in the field of VR with a strong craving for pornography, which includes complex preparatory work, several cords and a bulky headset, has become much more successful thanks to a new partnership with the televildildon company Lovense and a company with the speaking name VirtualRealPorn .

In May, they announced that they would work together to combine two Lovense Bluetooth-enabled sex toys with a limited (but growing) VirtualRealPorn porn category, which represented not computer graphics or the "sinister valley" model , but real porn stars.

"The main idea is to let the brain fool you into believing that the experience is real," said Eddie Olivares, marketing manager at Lovense, a company founded to develop two-way games with interactive sex toys between the continents.

The key to tricking the brain is to use the "tactile", or sensory, feedback integrated into VR video. Lovense has two models: a male toy (the so-called Max) and a female toy (named Nora), which sell for $ 199 and come with a wireless Bluetooth dongle for connecting to a computer or smartphone. A male toy uses air pumps to simulate frictions, and a female toy's head rotates to simulate penetration. There is also clitoral stimulation with the hand on a female toy that vibrates when the bodies of the two performers join.

First, the user places the Lovense device in the genital area and turns on the Bluetooth wireless adapter. After he or she wears virtual reality glasses. Next, you need to run VirtualRealPlayer (which recognizes the Bluetooth device) to enable porn with a subjective camera with a stereoscopic view of 180 degrees. Finally, with the progress of the film, the Lovense sex toy automatically syncs with the video being watched.

Now, with porn in BP, you might think for a second that this is reality, says Olivares: “When an actress comes up to you or when you initially look at the action, your brain can be tricked. Our goal is to provide a toy that can perfectly simulate movement on the screen. "

What is the source of inspiration for this imitation? A husband and wife from Spain - Leonor Laplace and her husband Mike Kowalski (pseudonym) - invested € 4,000 from their honeymoon to found VirtualRealPorn. The consultant workers (and sometimes characters) are their friends, pornstars Amarna Miller and Onyx Babe.

A year after its founding (in 2014), the company can already boast of having eight part-time employees and a thousand subscribers (they do not provide full information about the number of their subscribers) who pay monthly € 15.95. So far they have shot about 45 films, 10 of which are fully integrated with teledildonics.

Kowalski says they teamed up with Lovense, a teledildonics company, to make the porn experience in BP not only imaginary, but also physical. They asked several users to test the Max and Nora models along with their films and provide feedback in order to synchronize the toys as realistically as possible. In the long run, user feedback will influence the development of Lovense toys.

“The feedback was very good,” says Kowalski about the trials. “One user told us that he loves the constant vibration when the actress touches him. So we made five or six videos with this kind of movement.”

Initially, says Kowalski, they tried to create films that would allow the user to navigate the world of BP, but there were too many bad reviews from testers. So now everything happens lying down.

Kovalsky and his wife do everything in the company - from filming films (they pay from € 100 to € 600 to actors for one scene) to marketing and marketing the product. They took an oath when they formed the company: if it negatively affects their relationship, they will close it. However, the business brings good profit (they finally managed to go on a honeymoon to Zurich, Switzerland, and Venice, Italy, a year later) and maintain a committed relationship, despite nudity and routine.

“There is no problem,” he says. “We love each other very much and kiss and make love every night with even greater passion. We will learn new things about sex .”

So far, their subscriber base is divided approximately as follows:
    • 33% - Oculus Rift; 35% - Google Cardboard; 32% - Samsung Gear VR.
    • 50% of users live in North America, 40% in Europe and 10% in Australia.
    • The age of users is in the range of 20 years or more, Americans are often 20 years old; Europeans are often 30 years old; Australians are most often 40 years old.

VirtualRealPorn also plans to release Android and iOS apps in the next few months, and the synchronization of the toy with Lovense will be available along with their release.

While anyone can buy Max and Nora sex toys that are already in sync with the VirtualRealPorn cinematic toolkit, Lovense is in the process of developing further innovations in this area, although there are no visible prototypes yet.

“The male toy that we can produce, given porn in VR, will be presented as a non-contact masturbator,” Olivares says. “He will use magnetic technology to perform movements. He will be able to synchronize with VR porn very well and will not require user movements By eliminating the need for the user to physically move the toy, the fantasy becomes more realistic. "

Promotion of a contactless female toy is more difficult.

“We are in the early stages of designing a toy that simulates tremors,” Olivares explains. “It's a little harder because toys of this style still generally require the user to hold them. Traditional (pushing) non-contact toys are huge sex "machines, so we are experimenting with ways to solve this issue. We have some early sketches that have straps to support the toy by attaching to the woman's hips. But this design requires a lot of work."

He also says that the interactive storyline of fantasy porn in virtual reality (or nightmares, depending on your point of view) is already 5-10 years old. To help with this, the company's vision should help create more interactive, intelligent sex toys.

“Ideally, when a user moves his toy (or other peripheral), the performers on the screen should respond,” he says. “We also thought about developing accessories for sex toys, such as whips or sticks for corporal punishment, which could allow the user to realize their fantasies in a virtual world. The obstacle is that there is a lack of sensors for the smallest changes in movement (even 4-6 cm). "

Technology will undoubtedly be constantly improved. Other competitors in the teledildonic industry currently on the market include VStroker for Fleshlight ; Mojowijo , designed for Wii ; OhMiBod - vibrator controlled by iPhone; as well as Kiiroo and LovePalz , which both offer sex toys and a social network. One of the first teledildonics companies, RealTouch Interactive , recently suffered losses due to difficulties in licensing patents. VirtualRealPorn's corporate rivals include Huccio and several amateur developers who have also created several videos that are advertised extensively.online porn directory in bp .

But one key factor will not change VirtualRealPorn's approach: any improvement in computer simulations is not of interest to their company, says Kowalski.

“The basis of our site is the use of real actors and actresses,” he said. “We want porn to be more realistic and more sensual; we don’t want to release porn where women or men are humiliated.”
