New technology for the production of solar panels

Rayton, an American energy company, has developed technology that can lower the cost of alternative energy sources and even make their energy cheaper than fossil fuels.
The company has developed a technology for the production of solar panels, which uses 50 to 100 times less silicon than other technologies.

Thus significantly reducing the cost of the most expensive solar cell components. The company says the proprietary photocell technology uses only four microns thick silicon wafers, leaving no waste and at the same time increasing the efficiency of their panels to 24%. The essence of the technology is the rejection of mechanical cutting of a silicon ingot - cutting is performed using a charged particle accelerator . This leads to an overall reduction in the cost of panel production by 60% and the price of energy produced (kWh) at the same level as the lowest fossil fuels.

According to the company, the efficiency of their panels is greater than the industry standard for the efficiency of solar panels , which currently does not exceed 15 percent.
