So, in the Armored Boat-2017 an international massacre is planned. Nine champions of the English League of Robot Battles in the right corner of the ring. Ten best Russian corners in the left corner. And two special guests from the USA and Holland. As before, the rules are simple: two enter the arena, one leaves.

This time, the list again includes many Russian newcomers, several seasoned Russian champions and even more Robot Wars veterans from the UK. Moreover, two teams this year are purely female - it looks like there will be a separate battle between them! The winners of the BRONEBOT-2016 Big Brother team with the Weber robot are also participating - they have already performed at the championship in England and my interview with them on this occasion will be released on the go-times. In the meantime, choose someone to root for!

Everyone, the cat will stand in the way of victory, the robot flipper will throw to heaven. Prizewinner of the Battle of Robots in Perm, the creators say: Everyone just likes him! The WEBER robot is a real beast with its own character. It is unique in its design - as it has been digested and “re-bored” so many times — that not a single drawing is able to repeat the evolution of its design. The real “hand-made". The same applies to the pneumatic system, which at the moment is a mixture of well-known approaches and own developments. Now he is heavier due to the armor - this has shifted the balance of his moving characteristics and requirements for the power unit. And for the sake of power, a new pneumatics breaks in. Almost every element in it managed to be brought to a “mind”, but so that everything at the same time suits - it did not work out. There is still a limited supply of gas.

Team - Solargirl is the sister of the famous Solarbot team. It all started with the fact that our young people began to take an active part in robot battles across the country. We looked at them for a long time. And, one day, the idea came up to us to compete with them. After all, the women's team is no worse than the men's team. This will be our first robot and our first competition. The name of the robot did not appear by chance. The captain of the girls team is a beginner pastry chef. That is why the robot, it was decided to call the Cake. Outwardly, it will be airy and light, but inside it has a severe filling. Let's hope that we make a serious competitor for all teams!

20. Anticyclone (Russia)



The main active weapon of the robot is a drive from the Kamaz wheel equipped with two hammers, which is spun with a 1.5 kW starter at a speed of 400 rpm. The design moves due to two motor wheels from a gyroscope of 350 W each. A 12-volt car battery with a capacity of 60 A * h is currently responsible for power, but it is planned to upgrade to a lithium-polymer battery pack of 11.4 Volts 40 A * h. All electronics are located in the central tube of the robot, thereby being protected from external influences. At the top of the pipe, a power toggle switch will soon be located, which can completely turn off the robot. But the last robot made this team famous. The team’s previous robot, Katyusha, took part in the Armored Boat 2016.
