Producer of World of Tanks will invest several million rubles in the Taimyr mini-rocket

The producer and chief developer of the World of Tanks game Sergey Burkatovsky decided to invest part of the money earned on toy tanks in real rockets. True, the Taimyr missile, although real, nevertheless has not quite an “adult” carrying capacity - from 9 to 135 kilograms. So far, there are few players in this market, but Burkatovsky considers it promising. The amount of investment is also small. “Two options are being considered - the purchase of a 5% stake in the company for 5 million rubles and 10% of the shares for 10 million rubles,” said Alexander Ilyin, general designer of Lin Industrial .
As Burkatovsky himself told the agency, Taimyr will be able to put small payloads into orbit, for example, student satellites. “There are few players in this market,” he emphasized. In the future, the project will not have problems with investments, he is sure, because Taimyr will be of interest to many businessmen. Burkatovsky explained his participation in the project by the fact that he was a “space fan”. The future investor is not only the main developer and producer of the game, but also manages to write science fiction - which explains the interest in space.

The Lin Industrial company is a member of the Skolkovo space cluster and in the near future plans to receive a mini-grant from it in the amount of 5 million rubles. As the general designer of Lin Industrial told TASS, consulting agencies estimate the global market for small spacecraft by 2020 at more than $ 2 billion. “We with the Taimyr rocket expect to occupy 30% of this market," Ilyin said.
