The first course of Mail.Ru Group on the largest educational platform Coursera

Spring is the time to study! Together with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Contented, we are launching a course in “Interface Designer” on the educational online platform Coursera . Later, three more courses will be launched on creating interfaces and teamwork.

The course is designed so that students can learn a new profession from scratch, but at the same time they get all the necessary knowledge to get started right away. The authors and teachers of the course are professionals with extensive experience in the industry. During the training, students will receive systematic knowledge about the interface development process, learn about the latest trends in interface design, about platform features and how to take them into account when designing, learn how to work with the most relevant tools to date. The courses are taught by employees of Mail.Ru Group, Notamedia, Red Keds and Redmadrobot - practicing specialists with extensive experience.

Video lectures are available for free. To complete the tasks and get feedback from teachers, you need to pay access. For training on the course, it is enough to have experience with a graphical editor, for example, Adobe Photoshop or Sketch.

During the course, students will master the principles of user interaction design, learn the basic concepts of visual design, learn to distinguish good design from bad design and analyze current trends. Already during the training, the course participants will begin to apply the laws of product design in their work, and will solve several real interface problems.

We tried to highlight all the key aspects of the work of an interface designer - from the basics of the profession to all the important skills that are needed for the design of digital products (to identify user problems, propose a solution for them, bring the solution to mind and release it). The course has a very convenient modular structure - it is a set of small video lessons that are interspersed with practical lessons. You can follow them in a row if you want to learn the profession from scratch, or “scroll” if you are already familiar with the topic. The practical part is fixed on the basis of the general educational task, which passes through all stages of training.

Every month new programs will be released:

• “Preparation for teamwork. Presentation and self-presentation. Portfolio Career and customer search. "
