The largest IT-companies began reporting income for 2014

    Companies operating in the Russian Federation and reporting to the tax under RAS (Russian Accounting Standards) reported income for the past year.

    Yesterday, two of the largest domestic social networks: Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki talked about record revenue for themselves and net profit. At the same time, Odnoklassniki, whose audience is one third less, increased the lead over VKontakte in financial indicators: OK's revenues in 2014 increased by 23.5% to 16.3 billion rubles, while VK revenue increased by only 6.2% to 6.2 billion rubles.

    Odnoklassniki’s net profit over RAS last year increased by 27% and reached 9.2 billion rubles, while VKontakte increased its net profit 15 times to 709 million rubles (in 2013 it was 46 million rubles) .

    Also, two major search engines reported incomes: Yandex and Google.

    Google revenue in Russia in 2014 increased by 22.4% compared to 2013 to 18 billion rubles. Net income increased by 4.7% to 1.56 billion rubles.

    Yandex showed revenue of 51.5 billion rubles, which is a 27.2% increase year on year. The company's net profit increased by 45% to 18.7 billion rubles.
