The modified driver from ReactOS simplifies life under Windows on a Chromebook
Many owners of chromobooks purchased them solely in order to use them with Windows. Installing this OS on a chromobook is fraught with a number of difficulties, for example, the inoperability of the built-in keyboard and touchpad. Chromebooks use Google embedded controller , for which there are no drivers for other platforms.
A member of the Windows porting community on the Acer C720 ($ 168.99) , hiding under the nickname coolstar , found an original solution to this problem. He created the necessary driver, taking the source code of i8042prt from ReactOS as a basis.
Thanks to some code from @reactos & some patches I made, I have the Acer C720's keyboard working everywhere in Windows; with no kbdhelper :)

I can confirm the @reactos i8042prt driver "just works" when installed on Windows 8.1 Pro;)
