If you set up your Dreamhost email address as a Forward to your Gmail account, it will immediately send, but then you can't set up that Dreamhost email account with Gmail as a "Send Mail As" email, because that requires a Fully Hosted email account.

We have been having a lot of sync issues while trying to use Outlook. We have had part of a mailbox go missing and they couldn't restore it. We are being killed with phishing/spam.

Jul 24, 2022 · Another minor inconvenience about DreamHost is ssh connections get disconnected after a week or two, and also attempting to use tmux doesn't work, the process gets killed right away because too much memory is used up instantly. Only screen sessions seem to work, but even then, sometimes the screen sessions get killed too.

Sep 12, 2022 · The lack of urgency from Dreamhost was my last straw. I feel that all shared hosting has this drawback and it is just easier to host it myself than to explain to my clients why their sites are so slow. It has a similar cost to the share hosting plan and does require some setup.
