Aug 20, 2023 · I usually use yt-dlp from the command line. I've tried out a yt-dlp GUI called Stacher that seems pretty easy to use. I haven't conducted a security audit, but it's definitely Free and Ad Free and spyware seems unlikely. BTW, it's better to get AAC files, rather than MP3. AAC is a better format and doesn't require transcoding when getting stuff from YouTube.
