Samsung unveils SE790C - 34-inch curved monitor with Ultra WQHD resolution
Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled the new curved monitor SE790C, which could be seen live earlier in September at IFA 2014. Along with the ultra-high resolution Ultra-WQHD (3440x1440 pixels) and an unprecedented 3000: 1 contrast ratio, the 34-inch display will provide improved performance and functionality .

The basis of the monitor is a liquid crystal panel made by VA technology (vertical alignment), with wide viewing angles of 178 ° horizontally and vertically, an aspect ratio of 21: 9 and a radius of curvature of 3,000 mm. The screen brightness is 300 cd / m², the response time is 4 ms (GtG). Thanks to all these parameters, it was possible to achieve high image quality, and LED backlight allows you to spend less energy on the monitor.

The horizontally elongated curved screen of the SE790C provides a more natural and comfortable viewing environment and reduces eye strain when comparing the new monitor with flat analogs. These facts are confirmed by the presence of the TÜV Rheinland certificate, which requires testing of color reproduction, color uniformity, viewing angles and other important parameters.

Among the features of the SE790C, two functions can be noted: Picture-in-Picture (PiP) 2.0 and Picture-by-Picture (PbP). Using PbP, the user can split the screen into two or four zones, while the image on them can be broadcast from two different sources. Flicker Free technology to reduce flicker will provide eye comfort during long-term use of the monitor, and two 7-watt stereo speakers will give good sound quality.

The SE790C is equipped with a four USB 3.0 hub, two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort input. The stand of the device allows you to adjust the angle of the screen in the range from -2 ° to 20 °, as well as change the height within 100 mm. Dimensions of the monitor are 821.5 x 452-552 x 275.5 mm, weight - 9.9 kg. If necessary, the SE790C can be hung on the wall using the VESA mount.

The cost and sales start date of the Samsung SE790C monitor will be announced at the beginning of 2015.
