Microsoft and IIDF invite to the Imagine Cup series of student hackathons

The Imagine Cup Hackathons are unique two-day events held by Microsoft in conjunction with the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF) specifically for those who would like to learn how to create modern mobile and cloud applications. In the next couple of months, we will visit 8 different cities of Russia to help novice developers come up with and create new applications on the Microsoft platform, as well as spend an unforgettable night in a company with computers and like-minded people.

What can participants do at the hackathon?

    1. Quickly learn the basics of developing modern applications and games (in C #).
    2. Come up with your own idea, which can be implemented in a few hours. If you don’t have an idea yet, we will help!
    3. Program a prototype application using the acquired knowledge and a library of examples. If you have any difficulties, we will help, and even sometimes we will write code for you!
    4. Look at the ideas and applications of other students, participate in a mini-competition based on the results of the hackathon, get acquainted with the community of active student developers in their city.
    5. Apply for the Imagine Cup competition or for participating in the Microsoft Partner Student Program.
    6. Learn about business models of modern applications and how to make a startup out of an idea and a prototype application.
    7. Spend an exciting night with a team of friends at a laptop!

The application developed at the hackathon can become the basis for the project submitted to the Imagine Cup contest, either by the start of its startup , or simply by a good line in the resume (not every IT specialist can brag of his application in one of the application stores).

    What to bring

    registration

Participation in events is free. Registration and additional information on the website: http://events.techdays.ru/ImagineCup/2014-10/ .

Since active participants in the Habré are less than 10% of progressive humanity, we ask you to convey information to your friends and acquaintances, who will also be interested in participating in the hackathon. With your help, we hope to reach as many students as possible who are not indifferent to the topic of modern mobile device programming.

See you soon at the events!
