    What services to provide customers?

The main thing that you need to understand when working with a client is why he needs your product, your services. I myself worked in local web studios and always saw the same picture: the web studio made the sites, set up the direct, engaged in SEO promotion, but they did not see the big picture and did not understand why the client came to them and why Seeking help. You need to understand the client, at least at the level of his primary tasks. You are not creating a website, but a client processing tool, you must understand what benefits your business will bring.

This problem occurs most often for the reason that the creator, the head of the studio initially worked in only one specific direction. For example, if the creator is a former web designer, then he devotes a lot of attention and time to design, he wants his sites to be beautiful, pleasing to the eye. If the leader was originally a typesetter, a programmer, then he pays a lot of attention to clean code, interesting new functions for the site, interesting scripts. There is a third type - sales people who initially had nothing to do with the Internet, they pay attention to sales, promotion, etc. The third type is most attractive to customers, but you need to understand that the quality of the product remains at a low level when the manager does not understand all the processes that are behind the creation of the site. This misunderstanding leads to the fact that he cannot properly build the work of his performers, since he cannot systematically approach the process of creating the site, in which case many questions, problems arise precisely on the side of the team. I personally worked in all three areas: I programmed, and was engaged in web design for about 3-4 years, then I went into business, I know what a sales funnel, roi, conversion and other things to consider when developing a site , and also explain to the client if he does not know and does not understand them. I did all this, I visited all the elements and therefore I want to share all this. What to develop, where to start?

First you need to understand what opportunities and knowledge you have. Better to start with just one, narrowly focused. Further, having already gained experience, having typed a team, expand the range of services provided. Personally, I started with the development of landing pages, with already a little experience behind me. These were the first landing pages for 3 thousand rubles to acquaintances, now we provide a more complete range of services: market analysis, branding, promotion, we do online stores and business card sites, give advice. All these services arose when it was necessary to provide this service to the client or to improve the level of work.
The main criterion for product quality is how accurately it solves the problem posed by the client. If this is a landing, then how many customers does it attract and, accordingly, how much does profit increase? If it is a logo, how accurately reflects the essence and mood of the company. All criteria must be precisely prescribed when drawing up the technical specifications.

What tools, products can a web studio use to attract customers?

First of all, if you have not previously been engaged in such activities, if you do not have your own work, I would advise you now to deal with one-page websites - landing pages. Why exactly landing pages? The fact is that if you are poorly versed in the product itself, its technical side, design, then single-page pages are an easy enough product to understand such basic concepts as layout, layout, design. If, on the contrary, you were a programmer or designer, then working with landing pages will help you understand how sales work, why you need to analyze the market, why you need a copywriter, what is UTP, a descriptor, how triggers work on sites and how to attract customers. You will say that you can learn all the same by creating an online store. But it is not so. The online store has a rather complicated technical part, in addition, I have to work on the design of a large number of pages. Also, if you want to produce a really good product at the exit and increase the sales and profits of your customers, then you will have serious work in terms of marketing.

As I said earlier, the leader should have a certain idea of each of these areas. Those. technical issues, creative issues, design issues and, of course, sales, marketing, promotion. In all areas, you should have a sufficient amount of knowledge, for which you will need several days, but without this, nothing will work. About all this, I will additionally throw off materials outside this document, which I strongly recommend studying.

    Cost, pricing policy

It is time to talk about pricing and the cost of our services. In general, there are two price layers in the web-studio and Internet marketing market: a low check, for landing it will be about 12-15 thousand rubles, and a high check is from 50-70 thousand rubles and up to half a million - a million rubles. Let this not shock you, there are really specialists who justify these amounts and provide a really high-quality product.
Customers who rely on a low check, most often contact the web studio for the first time, as a rule, know almost nothing about the product and, in principle, do not understand what they pay for. As a rule, it’s more difficult to work with such clients, but if you hadn’t been involved in website development before, then I would advise you to work at this price layer for at least a month, you’ll fill up cones, understand the whole process of work, form a general understanding of working on the product, team, gain experience. And only then you can move on to the next level, assemble a new team of professionals, with decent pay.

    Additional services, improvements

Quite often, when a client addresses you simply with the words “I need a landing,” as you work it turns out that he, in addition to the landing itself, needs related services. For example, if the check for a landing is high enough, you will need to conduct a market analysis, niches in order to understand the scope of the client’s activity, imagine how best to sell his services or product. Also quite often they order branding services, i.e. Logos, business cards, envelopes, presentations, marketing whales. All this also costs quite good money and often, in total, exceeds the cost of the landing itself, which we can use and increase our income. Also, much attention should be paid to website promotion, as the client comes precisely for a complete tool that will attract customers for his business. Promotion is not a project type of activity. Therefore, I prefer to work in this area on a partnership basis, i.e. I find professionals, for example, in contextual advertising, who are engaged in the development of companies, accompanying support and are ready for long-term cooperation with a client. I give them clients and take a certain percentage, for example, from developing a company for direct, thereby relieving myself of the responsibility for the long process of website promotion, and moving on to new clients. For promotion, you can find specialists in these areas: contextual advertising (Yandex Direct, Google Edward), SMM (creating groups and promoting a company on social networks), SEO promotion (optimizing and putting the site in the top of search engine results). After you create a site, set up contextual advertising, etc., the client will periodically need your help. For example, change some block on the site, reconfigure something, etc. In principle, you can conclude an agreement to support the site, but we don’t do this practice and modify the site upon the fact of a client’s request, for which we charge an additional fee. You can also make good money on this, having a large customer base.
