Survey: Do you work better than your average colleague?

About 7 years ago, I came across the results of a study on teachers of US universities. For some sample, reputable teachers were asked a simple question: do you think that you work better than your average colleague?

94% of university professors said that YES, they work better.

(Before writing the article, I tried to find a source, but failed. It seems that I read in a paper Harvard Business Review, but there is no complete certainty.)

Not so long ago, my colleague slavapankratov discussed this topic in relation to career advancement and the adequacy of self-esteem. Honestly, it became very interesting how things are going in our industry.

In short, we decided to conduct a mega-poll with us. It is clear that everyone understands what “average” is, but as you think, answer that way. Simple survey - thanks in advance!

PS Data about statistics on teachers of US universities were removed from the article shortly after its publication, so as not to affect the opinion of the participants in our survey. At that time, the distribution was 52% YES, 48% NO (with 648 voters).

And indeed, the trend has changed. At 18:38 on September 14, 2014, the results are: 57% YES, 43% NO (5,553 votes).

Only registered users can participate in the survey. Please come in.
