Apple fixes vulnerabilities in iOS 7

Apple released iOS 7.1.2, fixing more than 40 vulnerabilities in such iOS components as CoreGraphics, Kernel, Lock Screen, Safari, etc. Users can now upgrade their iDevice (iPhone 4+, iPod Touch 5, iPad 2+) to the very latest version of iOS. As usual, an update for devices can be obtained through the settings option in the OS itself, or through iTunes (when connected to a computer). Vulnerabilities fixed by the company can be used by cybercriminals both to remotely execute code through Safari, and to gain access to some data of a locked device. One of the fixed vulnerabilities allows an attacker to disable the Find My iPhone function without entering an Apple ID password on an unlocked device (the so-called Activation Lock bypass).

According to the publicationModMyi.com for iOS 7.1.2 remains relevant jailbreak Pangu.

Many might be wondering whether or not the new software update patches the recently-released Pangu jailbreak, which was brought to us by a group of China-based hackers, and we can confirm that the update does not patch the jailbreak tool. With that being said, you are free to update to iOS 7.1.2 and can still jailbreak your device with the latest version of the Pangu jailbreak tool.

    List of fixed vulnerabilities.

The company has also updated information on digital certificates (certificate trust policy) used in iOS, see support.apple.com/kb/HT5012 .
