Best free monospace fonts with cyrillic support

In 2011, a good article, “ Best Programming Fonts ,” was translated . Now a list of the most successful fonts for the code at the time of June 2014 is presented.
Although I’m sure that many are satisfied with Courier New, which is used by default in Windows in many editors. But, as a person who loves typography, I insist that you pay attention to one of the headsets from this article. A good font is great!
Headset fonts will be judged by the quality of the Cyrillic alphabet and the beauty of all the other characters used when writing the code. For demonstration, the Brackets editor was used. Importantly, the images in the article cannot reflect the real feeling of using the font in your editor. Therefore, it is better to try several options and choose the right one.
PT Mono
Designed in Russia with the support of the Federal Press and Mass Media Agency of the Russian Federation. On the developers website you can find a more detailed description.
It has a very high-quality Cyrillic alphabet. But the rest has several drawbacks. The minus symbol is below the plus symbol, and is not centered relative to the equal sign, that is, “- =” will not look beautiful. All brackets are low, although this approach can be traced in many fonts.
PT Mono is the personal choice of the author of the post.
Can be downloaded from LiveJournal developers .

Droid sans mono
The Droid family was developed by Goodness Corporation for mobile devices. Available on Google Fonts , but this version has a significant flaw - the unzipped zero. The version with a crossed out, as well as a zero with a dot, can be downloaded on a third-party site .
It features a fairly tolerable Cyrillic alphabet. Good for any code. I have been using it for several years now. However, the font still has minor flaws.

DejaVu Sans Mono
He has a wiki , you can download it from there .
It has a bad Cyrillic alphabet (but it can be worse). It has no bright minuses otherwise. But there is nothing to stand out either.

Cousine
Headset by Droid Sans, designed for developers. Can be downloaded from Google Fonts .
Cyrillic at the level of DejaVu. The rest is nice and readable.

Ubuntu mono
Included in the Ubuntu branded font line . It is stated that these fonts should be in tune with all that Canonical does.
Cyrillic is average. Suitable for the code is also medium. Maybe fans of Ubuntu will like it? But it is worth noting that the font is very elegant.

Fira mono
For use on Firefox OS, Mozilla has developed the Fira font family . On Habré there is an overview of a headset.
The Cyrillic alphabet is at a good enough level, but will not please the eye of a sophisticated viewer too much. Suitable for code.

Inconsolata
Designed specifically for writing code. According to the developer, it is well suited for both screens and high-density printing. There is a project on Github that complements the headset in Cyrillic.
Cyrillic completed at an average level. Some consider Inconsolata to be the best free font for code, but I would argue. I do not like glyphs of a vertical line and "doggies".

PS Magic archive with all the fonts presented on Yandex Disk or on Google Docs .
PPS A relatively easy way to determine the quality of the Cyrillic alphabet in a font .
