AT&T flooded New York with charging stations for smartphones
The weakest point of smartphones, in my opinion, is their attachment to a charger. If simple phones can work for several days, while Philips Xenium lasts for a month, then flagships from HTC, Samsung, and Apple, as a rule, can withstand only one “smartphone day”.
AT&T, one of the largest US telecommunications companies, has set up solar-powered charging stations throughout New York to make the use of smartphones more convenient.

In New York, the company placed 45 such stations, which is twice as much as in 2013 - after all, the initiative was first tested last year. Now a new version of the stations is used, which is less affected by weather conditions.
The service is absolutely free - anyone can charge a smartphone or tablet, even if he is not an AT&T client. And the stations work even at night, thanks to batteries that charge during the day from the sun.
The project was launched before September, so if you find yourself in New York in the summer, remember the rescue charging stations.
