One Step Ahead Laboratory at PHD IV

PentestIT PentathIT Test.lab v.6 code-named “One Step Ahead” will be presented at Positive Hack Days 2014. It is a distributed computer network containing various current vulnerabilities, configuration errors, as well as human factor vulnerabilities . The main emphasis in Test.lab is on realism - the IT structure is designed by analogy with real companies with their inherent vulnerabilities (in an anonymous form), which fundamentally distinguishes laboratories from CTF competitions and brings attackers closer to real hacking. Experts in the field of information security from around the world take part in the development of the laboratory - Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Denmark, and the USA.

    The plot "One Step Ahead"

Participants will be asked to perform penetration testing of the distributed network of the virtual company Global Security, which has gained worldwide fame for using state-of-the-art network protection and monitoring systems, which, according to company management, guarantee 100% protection against hackers.

Over the entire period of its existence, the Global Security IT structure has never been compromised by intruders, says IS Director Michael Minter, the result of uncompromising security systems and certified personnel! Global Security management is so confident in the security of its IT resources that it is ready to challenge experts in the field of practical information security from around the world.

As we know, the IT structure of the company includes various components, such as WEB-servers, Cisco equipment, application servers - proprietary developments of Global Security employees, and most importantly, Global Security is a distributed network with several offices, connected communication channels. By the way, according to reports, the company's network diagram leaked to the Internet.

You, as a professional in the field of computer hacking, White Hat, who is behind the operation of systems of various sizes and complexity, will have to prove that there are no secure systems! However, in order to successfully complete the Global Security hack, you need to be not only a professional in your field, but also manage to do it before other participants, always be one step ahead!

Recall that in the previous laboratory, presented at ZeroNights'2013 , Omar Ganiev masterly won . Who will be one step ahead this time?

PS: Perhaps the network diagram is already on the Internet!
