
Release Day for Windows Phone 7

Today, September 16, as expected , the final versions of development tools were released for the Windows Phone 7 platform .
So, first things first:
- Here is the news about the release of the Advertising SDK for Windows Phone 7 and the Ad Exchange platform mentioned in it;
- on the MSDN website published information on controls for Windows Phone 7, among them: the long-awaited elements of Pivot and Panorama, Tilt Effect (!), Bing Maps Silverlight, Web Browser ;
- The new Silverlight for Windows Phone Toolkit has been released , which includes the new GestureService / GestureListener, ContextMenu, DatePicker, TimePicker, ToggleSwitch, WrapPanel controls . All items are open source under the MS-PL license. In addition, several demo applications are included with the toolkit;
- a video for iPhone developers wishing to start developing software for WP7 was published on the official Silverlight website ;
