Samsung introduced Gear Fit fitness bracelet at # MWC2014

You can forget about the other novelties of “wearable electronics” from the MWC2014 exhibition.
On February 24, Samsung announced its first Gear Fit fitness bracelet, the claimed characteristics of which are a cut above all the previously presented fitness bracelets.

Gear Fit is primarily aimed at athletes, but has a lot of functions that will be of interest to ordinary people. Like some other bracelets (for example, announced at CES, Jaybird Reign), Fit tracks movement, heart rate, and sleep patterns.
The main differences between Fit are: water resistance, synchronization with phone notifications, a timer, a stopwatch and a smooth curved AMOLED screen.

It is worth praising the developers from Samsung, who did not put a camera, recorder or huge screen in their bracelet.
I just want to say about the bracelet - that’s what you need. Size and shape matched perfectly.

On the back of the bracelet you can see the LED used to determine the heart rate and a proprietary charging connector.

Fit's display is its outstanding feature: a curved AMOLED touch screen with Samsung-specific vibrant colors and wide viewing angles.

The curvature of the display allows Fit to smoothly fit your wrist and have a large enough screen (1.84 inches) to make the text readable and buttons of this size so that you can hit them with your finger. Fit is not the first Samsung product with a curved display, but really the first one to use a curved display in place.

Fit is much more comfortable to wear than many other bracelets, mainly due to its light weight (only 27 grams) and thin strap. We replace the rubber strap and will be available at the start of sales in three colors (black, gray and orange).

The clasp is made in such a way that it is easy to close with one hand.

The retail price of the Gear Fit is still unknown. It will be announced on April 11, 2014, instead of with the start of sales of the device. Analysts agree on pricing between $ 150 and $ 250.
