DHL Express announces delivery of urgent goods by robot drones

Just a week ago, we learned that Amazon was going to introduce a new delivery method - using drones. Today, it became known about DHL’s intention to introduce a similar service. At the same time, the company does not plan to deliver all goods using robotic aircraft, so far we are talking about urgent deliveries of medicines to customers.
In a demo, the drone delivered medicine from the Rhine to the company's headquarters in Bonn. The flight took about two minutes, in addition, the robot was controlled by operators, not automation. According to the developers, this was done for greater accuracy, since the "autopilot" is still being finalized.
In Germany, the company will have to obtain a series of permits from the relevant authorities and services in order to be able to use air transport. In addition, it is not yet known exactly when DHL Express is going to introduce a new delivery method.
And here is the video itself with the delivery of a package of drugs to the company’s office in Bonn.
