Our company , as can be seen from the blog, specializes in projects in the direction of aggregating data from social networks.
In the process of working on the Meople.Net project , we saw that social networks are not only an area for hanging out on interests and a platform for social media, but also a significant segment of the information field as a whole.
Almost every major mass media publication has social media pages on which it relays its main channels, plus social media and resources of authoritative Internet portals and bloggers specially tailored to this matter.
And this segment of relevant sources of information is practically not plowed! Apart from applications that are designed for specific social networks and optimized specifically for them.
An obstacle to receiving news content is the need to have not only accounts on each network, but also to be a member / subscriber of communities, publics and groups. Our application elegantly solves this problem.
The development of this idea led to the emergence of the application Meople.Streamer - an aggregator of news information from resources on social networks.
The product was conceived as flexible and intuitive, with the possibility of wide personalization. And here’s what happened in the end:
To use the application, it is proposed to create an account specifically for it, which is used for authorization (but it is possible to try the demo version without registering). By default, directories of sources (authors) are available, grouped by topic.
Currently, this section contains English-language information, work is underway on the RUNET segment.
And then you can take advantage of unique functions: the user can select any resource that interests him (social media, group or public), which has its own localization in a social network (VK, FB, G + and Instagram are supported so far). Thus, the user can form channels (streams) from the authors who are interested in him, mix sources from various social networks in one channel and have quick access to information.
There is the possibility of deferred reading. You can mark the material that interests you with an asterisk and it will be moved to the favorites list, which can be accessed even without connecting a data network.
In the standard mode, familiarization with the short version of the news is available, there is the possibility of switching to the full version, as well as sharing in your chosen direction.
The functions of the user menu, which is hidden behind the left border of the screen, allow you to manage the list of channels, delete unnecessary ones, etc.
And where is the highlight? Of course it is, because we wanted to create not just an aggregator of news, of which there are a sufficient number.
Meople.Streamer first gives the user access to information in a direction that standard applications do not affect. And these are all possible publicities and groups that exist only in the form of pages on social networks, but nevertheless are authoritative and interesting. And secondly - there is no need to log in to core networks and subscribe to communities and groups to receive information from them!
