Generation Z or Digital Native: what era is coming on Earth?

The International Telecommunication Union has published a recent study report on Internet users. The hotel block in infographics was allotted to such a concept as Digital Native. Who are these “digital natives” and why it is important, as well as a lot of interesting infographics with the translation in this article.

Digital Native (roughly translated as a Russian native of a digital society, a person born in a digital society) is a term first used by an American by Mark Prensky to refer to people who were born during the digital revolution and, thus, are from their very birth under the influence of digital technology. The content of this concept is close to the concept of Generation Z; "Digital man" is seen as the main resident of the "digital age". People who were born before the digital age began, Prensky called, respectively, “Digital Immigrants” (Digital Immigrants).

Over 250 million people have become Internet users over the past year and by the end of the year, the total number of Internet users will reach 40% of the world's population.
