G2
Hello! Not so long ago, the IFA exhibition started in Berlin, and all the world representatives of gadget engineering are present there. We were no exception and brought there our new smartphone - LG G2, which we want to tell you about today.

G2 is the result of the hard work of engineers who combined in a thin and neat case our latest developments in the field of display construction, camera building and in the field of device autonomy. G2 is the result of the work of designers and ergonomics specialists. In the end, G2 is a work on bugs, done as a result of analysis of current trends, user comments on the Optimus G and G PRO models.
You can read about the most interesting features by clicking this button:
The Optimus G case was beautiful and interesting: the combination of glass, high-quality plastic and a thin chrome frame made it “expensive” and pleasantly heavy in the hand. The Optimus G Pro smartphone inherited some of the features of its “unprofessional" parent, but got more rounded shapes, plastic on the rear panel and because of this almost did not put on weight, but noticeably added to the diagonal of the screen.
LG G2 (yes, we abandoned the word Optimus in the model name) has a screen size of 5.2 inches, (Optimus G - 4.7, G pro - 5.5), while the case dimensions and weight remained at the level of the usual Optimus G. Moreover, the smartphone retained dimensions within comfortable 4.7-5 inch models with a screen diagonal of 5.2 inches:

So call G2 “fat” does not work. Rather, those who have gained strength to fight for the minds of buyers and users. :)
High-strength plastic is selected as the material of the back panel. The case itself is solid, the back panel cannot be removed, the SIM card is inserted through the tray using a special “clip”.

The side faces are completely devoid of any controls. All buttons are moved to the rear panel, under the camera. In portrait orientation, 90% of users have their index finger there, so the lock or volume button will always be “at hand” (or rather, under the finger), the smartphone does not need to intercept or change the position of the hand on it.

The front surface, as you probably already noticed in the photo, also lost its controls - now the buttons “back”, “home” and “menu” are part of the screen. When you need it - when it is not needed (when watching a movie in full screen mode, for example) - no.
The new display module has reduced side edges to a minimum - one and a half millimeters separate the edge of the image from the “air” to the left or right of the smartphone. A couple of years - and become a reality frameless screens, which we regularly in Hollywood films. And there, and to the "transparent" mobile phone is not far. :)
Inside the smartphone is the most modern and powerful hardware available. The Quallcomm Snapdragon 800 processor - 4 2.3 GHz cores on the Krait-400 architecture, 2 gigabytes of RAM, Adreno 330 3D accelerator, 16/32 GB of internal memory (a bit later, maybe, the 64 GB version will be released for the most greedy). The smartphone does not know the words “slows down” or “lags” at all. Everything that should fly on a smartphone flies. Software for bruteforce Wi-Fi networks, however, is not specialized, so we will leave its work outside the scope of commonly used testing.
This whole feast of life and performance is working from our best 3000 mAh battery. It charges quickly, perfectly holds high loads (and a similar filling and FullHD-screen can consume a lot, especially if you play some Asphalt 8 or GTA), it has a fairly large number of recharge cycles before any tangible degradation begins. The smartphone runs the usual “1 day” Android device under a heavy load, like all other modern flagship devices from other manufacturers. Unfortunately, no revolution is foreseen here, but we are working hard in this direction.
We also improved the camera. A new matrix, new lenses, an improved algorithm for processing the signal from the matrix and the most delicious bonus are the optical stabilization of the system.

Now the frames in motion or in low light conditions will be much better, and the quality of frames under normal conditions has completely become on the same level with all modern camera phones.

The quality of the camera has already been noted in foreign publications, we will prepare a comparative review of the G2 photo capabilities in the near future.
A new convenient cover book will work with the phone. It “snaps” on the back panel and becomes the second skin for the smartphone, additionally protecting both the back panel and the screen. The smartphone has a closing sensor, so with such a cover you can forget about the lock button. In addition, a “window” in the case will allow you to display a clock, alarm clock, weather information or information about an incoming call. :) The

smartphone will be available next month. Then we'll talk in more detail;)
