US intelligence agencies are taking measures to prevent the leakage of classified information after the scandal with Edward Snowden.

Director of the US National Security Agency (NSA) General Keith Alexander said that as part of the fight against classified information leaks, the agency intends to reduce the number of system administrators by 90%, one of which, in particular, was Edward Snowden, who fled to Russia.

According to Alexander, there are now about a thousand system administrators working at the NSA. Speaking in New York to an interdepartmental colleague in the presence of the heads of the FBI and the CIA, the general noted that most of these employees can be replaced using the latest technology.

He also confirmed that a rule was being introduced in the NSA according to which system administrators, upon admission to classified information, would be required to work in the presence of a colleague.
